A guest makes her way to the event
JDH Wealth Management welcomed guests to the 2013 Annual Fall Event on Tuesday, October 15th at the beautiful Event Center at John Ash & Co. Restaurant / Vintner’s Inn.
Clients, associates, and other special guests were greeted by Rebekah, Client Relationship Specialist, and Sher, our JDH intern, as they entered the event area. We were blessed to have perfect wine country weather and enjoyed a lovely Sonoma County evening on the outdoor terrace for our reception hour.
Soon everyone moved into the ballroom to take their seats for dinner and our presenters. As dinner began, Tim welcomed everyone and introduced our speaker for the evening – Jared Kizer – a financial author and blogger and the Director of Investment Strategy for The BAM Alliance.
JDH is an independent member of The BAM Alliance which is an active community of more than 130 independent wealth management firms throughout the United States. More than 15,000 investors have become clients of independent BAM Alliance firms across the country, representing more than $17 billion of collective assets as of December 31, 2012.
As the Director of Investment Strategy, Jared hears many of the same questions regarding investments, the market, and the economy. In his presentation Jared address some of the top questions he is asked including interest rates, inflation, and geopolitical risk.
After Jared’s talk, Matt introduced a very special guest from John Ash & Co. Restaurant. Executive Chef Thomas Schmidt would be joining us and giving a very special cooking demonstration! And lucky for our guests, they would be served the very dessert that Chef was demonstrating.
Complete with an overhead camera, Chef Thomas whipped up (literally) a beautiful and delicious sabayan with seasonal berries. As he prepared dessert, Matt asked Chef some questions about life as an executive chef. It was great to hear about Chef Thomas’ background and how he came to be at John Ash. We then opened the floor to our guests to ask questions.
Chef was greeted by questions such as “What is your favorite ‘go to’ wine?” and “What is your favorite meal?” Guests also asked questions about designing the menu for John Ash Restaurant and his favorite thing to cook for his son.
It was a wonderful treat (again, literally!) to have Chef Thomas join us.
And a wonderful treat to have each guest take the time to come out and attend our annual fall event. We appreciate our clients very much and always take this opportunity to express thanks for the trust that you put in JDH Wealth Management.
We will see you again next year!
