Meet the JDH Team

In 1999, Tim Delaney saw an opportunity to help his CPA firm’s clients by providing sound financial planning. He presented it to his two CPA partners and in 2000, JDH Wealth was born.
JDH was created to provide a disciplined, academically-based investment experience tailored to address each client’s distinct willingness, ability and need to accept market risk in the context of their specific situation and goals. Offering an advisor relationship built on personal trust and integrity, JDH serves as a Registered Investment Advisor to individuals, businesses, foundations, endowments, trusts, partnerships, not-for-profit organizations and retirement plans.
We believe that strategic vision can be achieved when there is a commitment to a long-term plan. We begin our relationship with you by building a holistic picture that encapsulates your core values, your dreams for the future, and your entire financial situation. We then establish and review a written investment policy statement based on that picture. You’re more than a balance sheet at JDH. We assess your current financial situation and help you gain consensus on goals and guidelines to inform the ongoing management of assets because peace of mind starts with understanding.
At JDH Wealth Management we value building relationships with our clients. We also strive to always be at the forefront of the financial world and continually provide education for our clients. These two aspects of our client interactions – building relationships and providing education – are an integral part of our JDH culture.
We always enjoy inviting our clients to our annual events. These events are a time when we can get to know our clients – and they can get to know us. An afternoon or evening spent with food, refreshments, and our clients is always enjoyable. We also enjoy taking these events as an opportunity to allow our clients to hear different speakers from around the country present on various topics.
JDH Wealth enjoys hosting both client and community events ranging from wealth management seminars to picnics at Transcendence Theatre Company’s “Broadway Under the Stars” annual summer event. In hosting educational events featuring leading national minds in finance, we strive to demystify the world of investing and make the principles of our investment philosophy transparent. On the lighter side, we love connecting with our clients through social events where advisors and clients get a chance to mingle together and enjoy each other’s company away from the office.
JDH strives to be an outstanding corporate citizen and to give back in appreciation to the community in which we live and work.
As Sonoma County locals, we were here as fires swept through our neighborhoods. We found, as many have, that there is no substitute for a strong network of people who care for and about each other. We take it upon ourselves to be the kind of company we would be proud to work with – one that works as part of the whole instead of in isolation. We’ve partnered with Transcendence Theatre Company for many years now to help them in their mission of bringing world-class entertainment to our community while building a financial foundation upon which gems like Jack London State Park are able to stay open in the face of funding shortages. We’re proud to be annual supporters of the Redwood Empire Food Bank. Beyond our corporate face, we’re involved in our communities through volunteer positions with non-profits and and memberships in local civic organizations.
Angel Flight West – Tim has been a part of Angel Flight West for many years, volunteering his time and his Cirrus SR22 airplane to provide air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs. With a network of 1,600 pilots throughout the 13 western states, they donate their aircraft, piloting skills, and all flying costs to help families in need, enabling them to receive vital treatment that might otherwise be inaccessible because of financial, medical, or geographic limitations.
Calvary Chapel the Rock – Tim is active in his church and as a member of its outreach team.
Free to Be – As a board member, Matt helps Free to Be in their mission to help teens make better choices for the future.
Leadership Santa Rosa –Tim was part of the Leadership Santa Rosa Class 10 and Matt joined Leadership Santa Rosa Class 29. They both enjoyed learning more about Sonoma County and how they can help solve the problems facing our community.
Pacific Coast Air Museum – Since 2007, Tim has helped PCAM promote the acquisition, restoration, safe operation and display of historical aircraft.
Rotary Club of Santa Rosa West – Matt joined Rotary in 2006 when he first moved to Sonoma County and has been a board member since 2007. He served as Club President in 2014-2015.
Sonoma County Airport Aviation Commission – Tim has been an airport commissioner since 2005, overseeing operational and expansion matters at the Charles M. Schulz airport in Sonoma County.
Sonoma Country Day School – In 2006, Matt volunteered to start coaching 8th-grade boys’ basketball at Sonoma Country Day. He loves being able to work with young kids and help them learn how to be a gentleman both on and off the court.
The Downtown Rotary Club of Santa Rosa – Tim is a weekly member and is involved with their annual Giro Bello Classic bicycle fundraiser and their World Service Community Outreach.
